CLARITY

The Essential Human Capability for the Age of AI

As AI can provide more and more answers,
the scarce human capability may no longer be knowing more,
but seeing what truly matters—
and making better judgments and choices.

JOURNEY

The book begins with AI. Sooner or later, it becomes about you.

One question. A deeper journey through the problem, the possibility and the consequence.

When intelligence becomes abundant,
what must remain human?
AI is becoming better at answering, predicting, recommending—and increasingly, acting.
Much of today’s debate begins with an urgent question:
How do we keep increasingly powerful AI safe and under human control?
But beneath it lies another question:
Even if we can control AI,
can we still remain in control of our own choices?
As AI becomes more capable of shaping what we see, consider and choose, the challenge is no longer only the capability of the machine.
It is also the capability of the human being using it.
Who sees what matters?
Who decides what deserves weight?
Who ultimately chooses?
This is where the book begins.
There may be a Third Path.
The future of AI is often framed as a choice:
Accelerate—or slow down.
Advance AI—or protect humanity.
But what if these are not the only possibilities?
THE THIRD PATH
Advance AI.
Strengthen Human Capability.
Preserve Human Agency.
The goal is not to make humans compete with machines in intelligence.
It is to strengthen what becomes more consequential as machine intelligence grows:
our capacity to see clearly,
recognize what is influencing us,
judge what truly matters,
and choose intentionally.
CLARITY
This book explores Clarity as a Human Capability for the Age of AI—one that may help us preserve and exercise Human Agency as intelligence becomes increasingly abundant.
Perhaps it is not something humanity needs to invent from nothing.
Perhaps it is something we need to rediscover, cultivate and develop.
What changes if Clarity can be cultivated?
The implications extend far beyond how we use AI.
They reach into how we lead.
How we learn.
How organizations decide.
How institutions assign weight.
And how we act when speed, pressure, emotion, authority, algorithms and intelligent systems are all influencing what appears to matter.
Can human beings become better at exercising agency—not by rejecting AI, but by becoming more capable of using it wisely?
The possibility reaches from individual judgment toward something larger.
Better Perception
Better Judgment
Better Decisions
Wise Action
Greater Human Flourishing + Total Value
And beneath this progression lies a larger possibility: that human beings become more capable of exercising agency over what they perceive, weigh, decide and ultimately choose.
AI can expand what is possible.
Clarity asks whether we can become more capable of choosing wisely among those possibilities.
And that is the journey of this book.

SEVEN DISCOVERIES

Seven discoveries trace the journey from an age of abundant intelligence to a deeper question of human judgment, capability and agency.

Each begins with something we think we already understand—and leads somewhere less obvious.

WHERE MIGHT YOU BEGIN?
